Common MSI Problems
This page helps MSI laptop owners understand whether we handle the typical issues of this brand. The Katana, GF, and Stealth gaming series most often arrive with overheating and fan noise from a clogged cooling system, throttling under load, and dried-out thermal paste. We also replace thermal pads on the GPU and power circuits, repair the board for charging problems, and replace the screen. FixLab is not an official MSI service center unless such status is confirmed.

Diagnosis and Agreement
First we disassemble the laptop, check temperatures under load, and assess the condition of the cooling system, thermal paste, and thermal pads β the key points for gaming MSI models like the Katana and GF. Then we offer options: cleaning with paste replacement, thermal pad replacement, power circuit repair, or screen replacement, and quote a price. If a Stealth needs a rare part or a board repair is not cost-effective, we discuss this before starting work.

Parts and Compatibility
Even within MSI, screens, keyboards, batteries, and thermal pads of varying thickness differ: the Katana's 144 Hz panel does not match the panel of a thin Stealth, and thermal pad thickness depends on the GPU configuration. Therefore, without the exact model and configuration, we cannot guarantee the availability and compatibility of parts.
