Laptop and PC Diagnostics
We check the device and explain the cause of the breakdown before starting repairs and purchasing spare parts.
When to contact us
Laptop and PC repair prices
We confirm the final cost after diagnostics. We explain in advance what the price includes: labor, parts cost, repair complexity, and data risks.
PricesLaptop or PC Diagnostics
If our service performs the repair, the diagnostic cost may be included in the final price.
Cleaning and Thermal Paste
Price depends on model complexity and the need for thermal pads.
Windows Installation and Setup
Driver installation, basic software, and setup after data verification.
SSD Installation
SSD cost is calculated separately.
Screen Replacement Labor
Matrix cost and compatibility are calculated separately.
What signs indicate a malfunction?
Diagnostics are needed when there's a symptom but the cause is unclear. It helps avoid unnecessary replacements and pre-assess data risks, cost, and repair time.
- device won't turn on or turns on intermittently
- black screen, lines, or freezing
- overheating, noise, sudden shutdowns
- Windows errors and slow loading
- drive not detected or files missing
What does the technician check during diagnostics?
The check depends on the symptom: sometimes software diagnostics are enough, sometimes it's necessary to check the power, motherboard, storage drive, and cooling system.
- power and charger
- storage drive and SMART indicators
- RAM
- temperatures and fans
- Windows, drivers, and system errors
What repair options are available
After diagnostics, you'll receive a clear explanation: what failed, what can be done, what the risks are, and when repair might not be advisable.
- repair without part replacement
- specific part replacement
- cleaning or maintenance
- data work
- refusal of repair if it's not worthwhile
What not to do yourself
If the cause of the breakdown is unknown, it's dangerous to continue experimenting: Windows reinstallation, repeated power-ons after liquid damage, and installing recovery programs can worsen the situation.
- do not format the drive
- do not install recovery on the same drive
- do not turn on after liquid damage
- do not disassemble the battery or power supply
When to contact us quickly
Urgent diagnostics are necessary if liquid entered the device, there's a burning smell, the battery is swollen, hard drive clicks are heard, sudden shutdowns occur, or the device is critically important for work.
- liquid
- burning smell
- swollen battery
- drive clicks
- critical business data
How the work goes
- You describe the problem via Telegram, phone, or the website form.
- The technician clarifies the model, symptoms, data importance, and what has already been tried.
- Diagnostics or a preliminary assessment is performed based on photos/description.
- FixLab explains the cause, solution options, and cost of work.
- After agreement, repair, setup, or part replacement is carried out.
- The device is checked after work, and the client receives recommendations.
What affects the price
The cost of diagnostics depends on the device type and the depth of inspection. If FixLab performs the repair, diagnostic fees may be factored into the final cost.
- device type
- symptom complexity
- if disassembly is needed
- if data check is needed
- if stress testing is required
How much does a repair cost?
The exact cost can only be determined after diagnostics. The price depends on the model, required part, disassembly complexity, and overall device condition. Before starting the repair, the technician will explain what needs to be done and agree on the cost.
Can I message you on Telegram first?
Yes. It's best to immediately specify the device model, describe the symptoms, when the problem started, and attach photos or videos. This information helps us understand the urgency and prepare initial questions.
What about my data?
Data is not deleted unnecessarily. If there's a risk to the storage drive or a system reinstallation is needed, we first discuss file preservation and a safe work procedure.
When might a repair not be cost-effective?
If the cost of parts and labor is close to the price of a new device, or if there are multiple serious damages, the technician will honestly compare options: repair, upgrade, or replacement.
Describe the symptom and device model. If there's an error on the screen, attach a photo - this will speed up the initial assessment.
